Is Infolitico written by humans?

The default daily-news lane is automated from source-event admission through publication without human editorial writers. A separate owner-gated script supports hand-authored Inspirational Thought articles; source code alone does not establish which lane is currently running in production.

How do I know the news is real?

Every article reports a real event from a curated public feed, and the pipeline requires a nonempty factual source summary before any drafting happens. Source provenance (discovery URL and verified publisher URL) is carried through the pipeline. Stories that cannot be factually summarized are rejected.

How are Bible verses chosen?

When a verse is recommended, the selector hashes the source event ID to choose from the eligible curated bible_verses bucket. A default seven-day recent-use exclusion can change that bucket, so the same event is not guaranteed to select the same verse when its eligible set changes. Verses are reproduced exactly from the curated database.

Do all articles include a verse?

No. When the pipeline's verse selector determines a verse is not recommended for a story, the article publishes with a reflection but no verse blockquote.

What about the commentary quotes I see in articles?

Commentary quotes come from a curated commentary_quotes table, are attached in code (never invented by a model), and appear at most one per article — verbatim and attributed.

Why do some stories get rejected?

Rejection is the pipeline's primary safety mechanism. A story with no genuine faith connection (no_natural_faith_connection), insufficient factual evidence, or a failed safety gate is not published — it is never forced into a devotional frame.

Is Infolitico political?

No. The site's sensibility is values-based — family, personal responsibility, stewardship, gratitude, character, community, and faith in God's plan. It never uses party names, candidate endorsements, or left/right framing.

Is Infolitico satire?

No. Every story reports a real event that actually happened.

How much does it cost?

The site is free to read. Newsletter signup uses double opt-in and sends a confirmation only when its provider is configured. The repository records one historical production timer run that skipped an edition; it does not establish the current schedule or any delivered digest. See the newsletter guide.
